Friday Favorites: Dainty Necklaces

TGIF! I hope you had a good week. Mine started off rocky. The hubs surprised me with flowers at the office to cheer me up :) He's so good to me!

Today I want to talk about dainty necklaces. Of course a statement necklace is awesome, but I often prefer to accent my outfit with a little necklace. Apparently I like heart necklaces which I hadn't noticed until I added the pictures below.

I own all three of these necklaces and all were gifts. My family knows me so well! I'm not sure if the necklace from Etsy is where mine was purchased, but it looks identical.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 47

Who is sooooo thankful it's Friday? This girl! It really is hard to come back to reality after being gone on vacation. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and resort review I posted. Halfway through the day yesterday I asked the hubs if we could go back lol

Today I wanted to show you wall art a friend of mine pinned on Pinterest recently. It caught my eye. I don't have kids, but some of my good friends have little boys so that is probably why I noticed it.

And of course you can purchase items from this store through Etsy, one of my all time favorite places to shop for gifts.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 45

Welcome again! As many of you know the hubs and I moved in October to a much smaller place and we are still struggling with counter and storage space in the kitchen. There is an area I thought a nice hanging fruit basket could go and we would be able to get a few things off the counter. Of course I don't want just any fruit basket...I want a nice one. Pinterest to the rescue! Here are two I love. If you are crafty and good with powers tools you could probably make them yourself.

Gifting

We're hot off the heels of Christmas, but I want to share one of my favorite places to shop for gifts year round. The year is full of birthdays, anniversaries, graduation is coming up in May, and of course the congratulatory gifts for family, friends, and colleagues. Do you fall in a gift giving rut? I do!

Throughout the year I scroll through Etsy and if anything catches my eye I'll "favorite" it for future reference. Do you shop on Etsy? I started shopping there in 2010 when it was truly an online arts and craft fair. Now I feel it has become a mix of small shops run by individuals and a lot of larger companies using it as another venue for sales. Which disappoints me a little because I like to "shop small" when I can.

Here are some Etsy purchases I gifted in the past. I would show you some recent finds, but people who may be receiving them read my blog ;)
Golf Ball Markers:   Left   Right
Herb Garden Plant Markers (Buy an herb garden starter kit here.)
Grammar Police Poster
Real Leaf Necklace
Monogram Ring Dish
Leather Luggage Tag
Tea Towels:   Left   Right
What are some of your unique Etsy finds?

Until next post...xoxo Becca

Disclaimer:
This post is not sponsored by Etsy or any of the shops I featured. These are items I have purchased with my own money.

Rain Rain Go Away

Rain rain go away, come again another day. Does anyone remember this from their childhood? Our desire for the rain to go away probably stemmed from wanting to go outside to play or have recess during school. As an adult and homeowner I'm happy to see the rain watering my yard and flowerbeds. I will follow that statement with this one...enough is enough. This has been the rainiest season I can remember, especially during the "summer" months. Typically by this time of the year all us Texans are begging for winter weather. Instead, I just want to see some sun!

Somehow I managed to make it through 4 years of college with no rain boots. How? I have no idea because our campus has areas where water pools. On several occasions I remember walking across campus barefoot because my flip flops wouldn't stay on my feet from the water suctioning them off.

Fast forward years after college and I'm starting to think I need to invest in rain boots (or a boat at this point). The ever popular Hunter rain boots are outside my budget and I thought this may be the case for others. Here are a few budget friendly rain boots and because I'm from the south...where to get monogram decals for your new rain boots ;)

1. Nordstrom 2. Target 3. Decals, Etsy 4. DSW

Good luck staying dry my friends! Until next post...xoxo Becca
