Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 52

Well loyal followers, if you have been around since the beginning then you have probably read almost every Favorite Pin Friday. Here we are at volume 52. A few weeks ago I shared volume 46 which marked the 1 year anniversary of Favorite Pin Friday when it came to actually timing, but today's post marks 52 of my favorite pins!

Lots has happened since the beginning and I love sharing my favorites. Starting next week I will be replacing Favorite Pin Friday with Friday Favorites. It could still be something I have pinned, a new product I'm loving, an outfit, a funny video. Whatever happens to catch my attention.

To mark the last Favorite Pin Friday I am sharing a recipe from Skinny Taste the hubs and I tried last week. I paired it with this fried rice recipe (minus the chicken).

Happy cooking! See you next week for Friday Favorites!!!

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 51

Back again for another Friday addition. Thanks for stopping by! A few months ago one of our Plated. meals was a breakfast pizza. (Read my Plated. review here.) It got my attention because I never thought about putting breakfast items in pizza form. The Plated. meal was ok. Both the hubs and I would have changed some things about it. Then just last week I came across this recipe (kind of like pizza!).

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 49

Hello again. Not much to report around here. The week was super busy and went by quickly. Which I guess is a good thing.

I'm always looking for new party inspiration. With it being graduation season this one popped up on my Pinterest feed. I am in love with the black, white, and gold color scheme right now. Plus this sign is perfection for a graduation! Perfect for a high school or college graduation party.

View the rest of this party design here. What a fun website to get hooked on! Excuse me while I go pin half their website ;)

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 48

I am the girl who hates turning down dessert. I have a constant sweet tooth. Whyyyy did this pop up on Pinterest!? It's like Pinterest knows I love chocolate chip cookies and s'mores!

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 47

Who is sooooo thankful it's Friday? This girl! It really is hard to come back to reality after being gone on vacation. I hope you enjoyed the pictures and resort review I posted. Halfway through the day yesterday I asked the hubs if we could go back lol

Today I wanted to show you wall art a friend of mine pinned on Pinterest recently. It caught my eye. I don't have kids, but some of my good friends have little boys so that is probably why I noticed it.

And of course you can purchase items from this store through Etsy, one of my all time favorite places to shop for gifts.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 46

Sunday marks the 1 year anniversary of Favorite Pin Friday. I know, I know...you're thinking "Becca, how can that be when this is only volume 46?" Well because some weeks I was a slacker and didn't post or skipped it to share something else.

My latest obsession are herb gardens and succulents. I want both in window box form. With a small patio there isn't room for planters, so why not hang it! Here are some inspirations to get me started.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 45

Welcome again! As many of you know the hubs and I moved in October to a much smaller place and we are still struggling with counter and storage space in the kitchen. There is an area I thought a nice hanging fruit basket could go and we would be able to get a few things off the counter. Of course I don't want just any fruit basket...I want a nice one. Pinterest to the rescue! Here are two I love. If you are crafty and good with powers tools you could probably make them yourself.

It's Friday! I love when Plated. shares recipes for dishes on Pinterest. Then I get to share them with you! Here are two recipes the hubs and I enjoyed in the last few weeks. Read my Plated. review.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 43

I love when a Pin becomes inspiration and a jumping off point. It spurs creativity. A few weeks ago I shared I was on a committee to plan a conference. That conference took place yesterday (which is why this post is coming to you on a Saturday). In our search for fun catering ideas we came across donut bars (shared here) and cannoli bites!

Cannoli Bites | Cooking Classy
For the conference ours were a little different. Little clear boats filled with the cannoli cream and a couple of cannoli shells for dipping. Cannoli dippers! Thanks to our catering team who came up with the fun idea. All inspired by this pin!

Hopefully I will be sharing some pictures from the event soon. Until next post...xoxo Becca

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 42

Back again for another edition of Favorite Pin Friday!!! Woohooooo it's Friday! The hubs and I attend an alumni event last night and had a really great time. It's always nice to talk to people who appreciate your alma mater like you do.

Sticking with the spring/summer weather trend (do you see more floral below? I can't get enough of it), get ready to bare those shoulders ladies. Keep scrolling for some cute shoulder baring outfits and as a bonus, arm exercises (which I need to get working on pronto). I've said it before, I get a lot of exercise ideas from Pinterest.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 41

Happy Friday! Yesterday was National Drink Wine Day...who participated?! :) My boss let me off work an hour early so I took advantage of the beautiful weather and sat on the porch with Lexi and drank a glass of wine.

Today's post revolves around adult beverages, but baking with them. When we were in Breckenridge (read about it here) we visited the Breckenridge Distillery. The hubs and I had been on a previous trip, but in four years they have really expanded. During the tour/tasting we tried their spiced whiskey. The spices used are inspired by the master distiller's grandmother's pumpkin pie recipe. Talk about delicious. I immediately though it would taste good in a cake. Here are some recipes I thought might be good to try it in.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 40

1 year ago last Friday I made my very first post here at Lexi & Lady. I JUMPED outside my comfort zone and decided to share anything that inspired me and every day life. Happy 1 year (+ 1 week) blogiversary! Thanks for hanging in there with me as I share random stuff :)

Today's Favorite Pin Friday focuses on that season right around the corner...spring! While I do love fall/winter clothes (all those cozy sweaters, boots, and scarves), I like the lighter fabrics and colors. Here are a few pins that came up on the Pinterest recently. With temperatures here already reaching high 70s I'm ready to bust out some skirts and pastels heehee

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 39

Pinterest to the rescue! Tomorrow is my mother-in-law's 60th birthday and we're throwing a fiesta! :) I'm in charge of the photo booth props. Good thing Pinterest has everything I need. A quick search yielded a free printable perfect for the event. It's geared toward Cinco de Mayo, but I'll discard any piece reflecting that.

Then that pin led me to this festive sign...

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 38

You're right...I missed Favorite Pin Friday last week. To be honest, work has been so busy lately that when I go home I veg out and then it is Friday morning and I realize I haven't written anything to share. I'm sorry! I promise to be better. But hey, you got to see lots of pretty snow in Monday's post.

There have been many points in my life where I wonder why I am where I am. Why I'm facing certain challenges. It's easy to try to fix situations, but often times that leads to more frustration. You know why...because He has a greater plan. As humans I think we try to control our destiny and direct our path. Over the last several years I have come to realize when things aren't going my way it's time to sit patiently and wait out the storm. The nos, the failed plans, the frustration, it's all because you are where you are for a reason. May not know it yet, but you'll understand one day. Remember to be grateful for everything, even those challenges.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 37

Favorite Pin Friday on a Saturday? Yeah well I'm a slacker and was super busy this week. I work in higher education which means the students are back on campus to start the semester. They kept me busy!!!! Guess what, the first week of class is over and we can get back to our regularly scheduled program.

Do you like donuts? I like donuts! Why not have a DIY donut bar at your next event? A committee I'm on thought it would be a fun breakfast feature at an upcoming event. Think outside the box and fun things will happen.

Would you top your own donut? Until next post...xoxo Becca

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 36

Wow what a week. Certainly was busy and I'm counting down the hours until the weekend. Last night we had an event on campus for our students and it went really well. I'm looking forward to the upcoming events I'm involved in planning. It's the fun part of my job.

By the way, this is my 100th post :)

In a week I'm getting my hair cut. I'm not adventurous when it comes to hair which is ironic because mine grows so fast. If I were to get a bad cut it would be gone in about a month.  Pinterest always has a lot of styles and these are some of the ones I've pinned over the years. When I pinned it I was either interested in the cut or the color.

Favorite Pin Friday | Volume 35

Growing up I remember my mom baking for the neighbors; cranberry bread and GORP (type of trail mix) are the two items I remember most. p.s. I tried this one year...our neighbors didn't seem as excited as I remember neighbors being when I was young. Talk about disappointment! Anyway, she'd box them up with cute ribbon and gift tags. Family Christmas traditions have always intrigued me because everyone does it different. The hubs' family has an oversized coloring book they've colored in every Christmas Eve for the last 30 years (pictures below). I think it has seen better days, but dang what a fun memory to have and to look back on. This year is the last page of the book, who knows what we'll do next year...

What are your Christmas time traditions? Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? Decorate gingerbread houses? What about wearing matching pajamas? One day the hubs and I will start traditions for our own family, here are some that piqued my interest (thank you Pinterest).

I really liked some of the ideas shared here. My favorite are The Annual Snowflake Cut Out Competition and The Dollar Tree Ten Minute Giving Spree.

I hope you enjoy time with family and friends! I'm taking the rest of the year off from blogging, but will be back in 2016! Thank you for reading this year, your comments mean the world to me. I love when people tell me they've been following along and I never even knew it! Until next post...xoxo Becca
